My Favorite Kitchen Ever.

Quick dinner before we ride our bikes down to the library where a couple of local filmmakers (us) are screening a film.

Now about the kitchen.
I always said if we moved that I would take our kitchen with us but I decided it was too happy where it was.

The handmade custom solid maple cabinets with their mellowed patina and European hinges. The soapstone counter and sink.  The Viking gas cook top and tons of counter space.  The butcher block and Finnish Tulikivi soapstone masonry cookstove.  I decided to let them all just be.

Another favorite thing:
Being open to the dining and living areas make the kitchen a comfortable social hub.   It's roomy and yet a step or two delivers me to any operation.

It's the best designed kitchen I've ever seen and I'd say that even if I hadn't designed it. : ).
